Forum: GratefulDead Subject: suggesting 2 outstanding shows for sunday

I just finished listening to these and some of you might know them (at least the GD one), but some might enjoy an unknown gem.

JGB 12-6-77, Greenvale NY
outstanding verions of Knockin', Harder They Come, Mission In the Rain and Simple Twist

GD 7-18-76
amazing show, which I discovered only now - great overall, but I would like to mention The Wheel (might be the most beautiful version I've heard and Stella Blue, the most "peaceful" and sweet version I know (I'm struggling for the right words here with my ESL (english second language), but anyway, I hope you enjoy some special sunday time with these suggestions.
Being a big Keith fan, he's great in the mix and really doing very well, also Donna.

Have a good sunday all, Ganges

Vielen Dank G√ľnther
A grooveworthy sunday to you also. 7-18-76 is one of those shows that can stone you to your soul, lift your spirits and lighten your heart. Perfect for this fine sunday morn...inspiration to reach beyond our current limitations... realisation of the greatness we were created to enjoy. Just dl'ing the JGB show from Zephyr as I type.
Alles Gute!

I recommend a dr.flashback/direwolf *****reviewed unusually unusual 69er (both sets xlnt, w/sound top 4 d'time)

http://www.archive.org/details/gd69-04-23.sbd.wise.70.sbeok.shnf

now, this has a few splices where the tape reels ran out -

but on 2nd listens more relaxed, the splices aren't jarring -
what is there never lets up...
the blazing shreds keep going, and what you get is great!

why sweat the gratefully brief missing seconds?

Then there's this related gig - same week at same venue -
also reviewed and given the full 5***** rating by both direwolf + dr.flashback, another to die for Sunday mass:
